Partners in Grass Finished-Beef

Our grass finished beef is produced through a carefully selected network of Colorado ranches and processing partners that share our standards for land stewardship, animal welfare, and transparency. Each partner is chosen based on practices—not logos—so every box reflects the same values, regardless of which ranch or facility handled a specific step.

Together, these partnerships create a clear, traceable path from pasture to plate—without shortcuts, feedlot finishing, or anonymous supply chains.

Grass Fed vs Grass Finished Beef

Grass-fed beef comes from cattle that ate grass at some point in their lives, even if they were later finished on grain. Grass-finished beef comes from cattle that were raised on forage for their entire lives, resulting in a clearer, more consistent pasture-based product.
Grain Fed
Primary diet includes corn, soy, and grain-based feed
Grass Fed
Primary diet includes grain or supplements, with grass at some point
Grass Finished
Primary diet includes native grasses and forage only

Our Ranch Partners

Our partners steward thousands of acres in Colorado, each with a shared commitment to habitat health and long-term land resilience. They use rotational and adaptive grazing, allowing cattle to move with plant growth, helping build deep-rooted grasses, and keeping the land resilient to drought and heavy rain.

Research shows that regenerative grazing can help store more carbon, improve soil structure, increase forage productivity, support biodiversity, and reduce erosion—factors that influence land health and beef quality over time.

Across our partners, cattle forage their entire lives in pasture-based systems rather than in feedlots. Working with multiple producers allows us to offer grass finished beef at scale while maintaining high standards for land care, animal welfare, and ecological integrity.

Meet Fitch Family Artisan Meats

Once animals leave pasture, their final hours matter as much as the months they spent on grass. Fitch Family Artisan Meats handles this phase using systems shaped by Dr. Temple Grandin’s work. They operate ethical and efficient facilities with trained staff who keep cattle calm and moving smoothly. This level of care honors the animal and helps protect beef quality, as excess stress can affect tenderness and flavor.

Fitch Family ages the meat and cuts it with precision, so every box from Ollie Allen’s Frontier Meat reflects a partnership that treats the animal as more than a commodity.

Why Grass Finished Beef Matters

Grass finished beef differs from grain-finished beef in more than marketing language. Research indicates meaningful shifts in fatty acid profiles, antioxidant content, and other nutrients when animals graze on pasture. The forages cattle eat draw minerals and compounds from the soil, and those nutrients are reflected in the meat.

Our ranch and processing partners help keep that cycle intact. From regenerative grazing on Colorado pastures to calm, low-stress handling during processing, each step is guided by standards we consistently apply across our supply chain.

When soil systems are healthier, the animals and the people who eat them benefit.
